Wave Pool

To kick off our very busy weekend last week, we decided to take a trip to Price and go to the wave pool with Michelle and all the kids. It was interesting to see the change in the kids. I figured Grant would be a wimp and not like the waves and McKinley would be my usual die hard, but it was just the opposite. Grant only came out of the water when it was about time to go home. In fact everyone had soaking wet towels when we left and Millie said, "WOW, Grant's towel is dry." That is because he only used it to sit on while he put his shoes on.

I had the kid's life jackets on them so Grant just loved the waves. I would go out with Jackie in a life jacket and Grant and Aiden would hold on to Jackie so we would all be together and Jackie thought they were trying to get her so she would just giggle the entire time. McKinley on the other hand only came out into the water when the waves stopped. Then when the whistle would blow, warning you that the waves were coming, she would high tail it back to the chair and her towel. (WIMP!!!!)

Jackie ready to hit the waves - if mom would just put the dumb camera down.

McKinley - Freezing cold in 80+ degree weather, if she would just put a little meat on her bones she wouldn't be so cold all the time.

Grant - the die hard - slept real good on the way home!!
McKinley - the alligator

Grant got on the floatie and got swept way out in the middle of the pool (where it is still only 3 feet deep) and got stuck.  Instead of getting washed to shore, he got stuck between two waves that just kept pushing him back and forth so Aunt Chelle had to go rescue him.  She should have been on Bay Watch.  :)

Just soakin up the sun.

Aiden would get mad when the waves would stop - he was fun to watch because he would punch and karate chop the waves when they would get to him.  He cracks me up.
Alligators and Turtles

After the wave pool we went back to Michelle & Chet's house and had fudge cycles.  McKinley and Jackie show how much they enjoyed theirs.  I had to put them in the bath tub afterward.

How could you not love this face?

  1. Ok - I won't disown you for putting a picture of me in my swimming suit on the internet. At least I'm covered by the water. LOL! You crack me up. It's fun to see the pictures cuz it was a fun day.
